Jackson County

About 35 minutes from Lula.

Commerce sits on I-85 at the north end of Jackson County, about 27 minutes up US 441 from downtown Athens. It has a historic downtown, and the outlet shops at Banks Crossing are just up the interstate.

The houses run from older homes near downtown with real wood floors, to farmhouses outside town, to newer subdivisions near the interstate.

The floors we see

Floors around Commerce

Older homes around downtown Commerce are good candidates for refinishing. The wood is often there under carpet or a tired finish, and a full sand brings it back. Out in the country and in the newer neighborhoods, the usual call is new hardwood or vinyl plank to replace carpet, plus the stairs. Farmhouses with uneven or soft subfloors get that fixed first.

How a Commerce job goes

  1. Call or text. Tell us the rooms and what is down now.
  2. Free estimate. Jonathan measures and brings samples to the house.
  3. Prep. Old flooring out, subfloor fixed where it needs it.
  4. The floor. Installed or refinished, then a walkthrough and cleanup.
